Review: IMAGE Skincare

Image Skincare is a mid-range skincare and makeup brand that has won countless awards with their physician formulated products since being established in 2003.

The company was founded by esthetician Janna Ronert who wanted to drive her passion for science-based skincare to create a brand that focuses on results rather than staying on-trend.

The products from Image Skincare have become cult classics amongst skincare fanatics due to their formulations that not only change the appearance of your skin for the better but also improve your skin’s health with rich and science-based ingredients that work.

In this Imagine Skin review, we’ll be discussing some of the key products from the brand, the different ranges they have, what ingredients are featured in their products, and also some of our thoughts on the brand as a whole.

Most Popular Products

Image Skincare offers a wide collection of products for every skin type and every skincare step. All their products have received rave reviews, but there are some best-selling products that stand out to us.

We’ll be showing you our four favorite products from the Image Skincare lines, which also so happen to be some of the most popular products from the brand.

1. Image Skincare Vital C Hydrating Repair Creme

The Hydrating Repair Creme from Image Skincare’s Vital C range is incredible at quenching dry skin with its rich and nourishing formula. The creme aids to soothe redness and irritation and locks in the skin’s natural moisture with the help of hyaluronic acid.

The cream supports collagen synthesis and skin renewal and leaves your skin looking plump and healthy. We love to see use this in the evenings on cleansed skin, as this rich formula can take a little while to get into the skin.

There is nothing worse than sunscreen that leaves a white cast on your skin when you apply it, it’s almost enough to put us off wearing it altogether. However, this SPF 50 moisturizer from Image has eradicated this common flaw with its lightweight formula that quickly absorbs into the skin.

The moisturizer offers high protection against the sun’s harmful UV rays without leaving you looking like a ghost. It’s easy to wear under makeup and is suitable for all skin types. If you’ve got acne-prone or oily skin, then you could opt for the oil-free version to stay on the safe side.

This gel-based cleanser contains salicylic acid that helps eliminate excess oil and exfoliate away dead skin cells. The cleanser can be used to remove skin makeup but also as a second step cleanse in your skincare regime.

The cleanser is ideal for those who suffer from spots or acne-prone skin and is proven to reduce the appearance of blemishes and textured acne on the surface of the skin. The product minimizes fine lines in your lips and supports firmness to give off the illusion of bigger and fuller lips. The consistency isn’t gooey or sticks so is perfect for applying before bed with the reassurance that you won’t get it stuck over your sheets.

Skincare Products

Image Skincare has expansive collections of products suited for both the face and body. Their ranges span products covering anti-aging, acne, brightening, and sun protection.

Below we’ve listed some of the bestselling skincare collections from the Image Skincare brand. We’ve discussed the purpose of each collection and also listed some of the ingredients used in each range and some recommendations of the best products.

Ageless Range

The Ageless collection aims to combat fine lines and wrinkles and to restore youthful and more bouncy skin. Each product contains a luxurious formula that targets the signs of fatigue and dull-looking skin to rejuvenate by boosting the production of collagen.

Some of the products in the line contain retinol to even out skin texture and improve the coloring in your skin. It’s never too early to start using anti-aging products (well, maybe it is) so don’t leave it till it’s too late. The range contains serums, masks, moisturizers, cleansers, and eye creams for you to choose from.

Body Spa

The Body Spa range is everything you need to feel like you’ve had the ultimate spa experience but in the comfort of your own home. The range includes body lotions, scrubs, and even a body bronzer to help you feel like your best self.

The Body Spa collection even includes a Cell.U.Lift cream that helps firm and smoothes your skin whilst reducing the appearance of cellulite. The collection features incredibly nourishing ingredients which will help tighten, hydrate and improve the overall quality of your skin.

Prevention+

Image Skincare has a collection of award-winning suncare which protects against UVA/UVB rays. The collection contains SPF moisturizers that range up to SPF50, all of which can be used on the face and body.

There is also a tinted moisturizer for those who like to have a bit of coverage when using SPF on their face. The products sink into the skin quickly and don’t leave you feeling sticky like most typical sunscreens.

SPF is not the only way to reduce your risk of developing skin cancer from UV rays, to find out more information on how to protect yourself and your skin from the sun, visit skincancer.org.

Vital C

The Vital C range is their original and best-selling collection and it aims to hydrate and revitalize your skin. It’s specially formulated for people who suffer from dry and redness-prone skin.

The products in the collection soothe irritated skin and are clinically developed for those who suffer from sensitive skin. Facial oils and moisturizers in the range will replenish your skin with fatty acids, radiate fatigued-looking skin, and keep your skin looking supple.

Clear Cell

Clear Cell is formulated for people who have blemish-prone skin and for those who suffer from acne. The range contains products that can create a full step-by-step routine to combat and control spots and oily skin.

The products are gentle yet effective enough to use every day without making your skin too dry. Most of the products contain salicylic acid which helps to decrease redness and speed up the healing of the skin.

Please note that some severe acne cannot just be cured by skincare remedies and will require further professional treatment by a dermatologist or through the use of medication.

Iluma

The Iluma range is definitely oriented around luxury skincare and formulate to even out skin tone and brighten the skin’s complexion.

The exfoliating powder is one of the most intriguing products from the range and works by polishing off dead skin cells to boost radiance. If you suffer from dark spots and pigmentation, this will be the range you’ll want to check out.

Note: We have not included all the collections above, if you would like to browse every product from the Image Skincare brand then head over to their website.

Makeup (I Beauty) Products

The brand doesn’t just focus on skincare but also has a range of makeup and beauty products that’ll contain ingredients that will improve your skin’s health.

Face, Eyes & Lips

Image Skincare has its own range of foundation called the I Conceal which even contains SPF 30 and is available in a range of shades.

The mineral foundation is full coverage and blends seamlessly into the skin, covering any imperfections. There is also a flawless foundation brush available from the brand that’ll help you blend your foundation perfectly

The I Beauty range also contains an eyelash and eyebrow serum to boost growth and replenish nutrients to support healthy follicles. These sorts of serums are becoming increasingly popular nowadays as people try to achieve thick, healthy lashes of their own instead of having salon treatments.

As we previously mentioned in our short list of favorite products, Image Skincare also has its own lip enhancing lip balm which helps look full and firm. This lip enhancement is also available in a sheer pink color if you like to add a tint of color to your lips.

Price

It’s difficult to create an overall image of the pricing of Image Skincare’s products as some products are very reasonable whereas others are for those who have a high-end budget.

We’d probably place the brand within a mid-range area as they are not the most expensive skincare brand out there in the market, but they’re also not prices you’d commonly find in your average drugstore.

The view of pricing will be subjective to each individual, as some people may value their skincare more highly than others so will be happy to spend extra money on products. Some may see the prices and run a mile.

We think that there are some great products from the brand that are worth the price. The brand’s products are physician-formulated and purposely made to improve the appearance of your skin.

There are brands that are at a higher price point than these products that do not work nearly as well, but then there are also products from drugstore brands that will do a similar job.

If you’re in the market to try out some new skincare bits and you’re willing to spend some extra cash to achieve noticeable results, then you should try Image Skincare.

Formulations & Ingredients

All of the products from Image Skincare are clinically tested through various methods to ensure their products are safe to use and work effectively.

You’ll be glad to know that none of their products contains parabens, mineral oils, artificial fragrances, phthalates, or artificial dyes.

Is Image Skincare Vegan and Cruelty-Free?

Yes, Image Skincare does not test any of its products on animals and is also vegan.

It’s always great to know that whilst we can achieve great skincare results, we have peace of mind that our ingredients are ethically sourced and no animals were hurt during trials.

Final Verdict

If you’re struggling to find a skincare brand that produces noticeable results and changes the complexion of your skin, then you should consider trying Image Skincare.

Their vast collections of products will suit a multitude of users regardless if you’re struggling with acne, want more youthful-looking skin, or even want to brighten your complexion, there’ll at one least be a product that will tickle your fancy.

Their products are made by skincare professionals and approved by a board of skincare experts, so you know what your putting on your skin is beneficial.

Before trying these products you consult with a dermatologist or esthetician to find out what your skin needs before making any product from the range. Each skin type has different requirements and our recommendations of favorite products may not suit you.

The products from Image Skincare are definitely for those more willing to extend their budget, however, we think this is deservedly so as we have seen great results from using products from the ranges.

We don’t encourage the use of expensive products for the sake of it, but we truly think the formulation of these products and the results you’ll see are worth the higher price point.
